ZTE, the provider of telco equipment and network solutions has recently announced that it expects to sell 12 million smartphones, including tablets this year. This is part of ZTE's Smart Terminal Strategy.
ZTE has focused on Smart Terminals as one of its main brand strategies for this year and its terminal shipment volume increased to 46.6% with 22 million terminals shipped in the first quarter of 2011, an increase in sales revenue of 51.4% as compared to the same time period last year. According to latest reports, the sales of smartphones will reach 470 million in 2011.
ZTE has recently launched quite a few devices including smartphones and tablet PC's, with new models such as the ZTE Skate, ZTE Blade and the ZTE V9 Plus. These smartphones support 3G and 4G standards.
