HTC Joins Hands With The Alliance

HTC, a Taipei based smartphone corporation is all set to sign an agreement with Conexus Mobile Alliance. A regional mobile telecom group, Conexus was established in April 2006 to develop and enhance roaming and corporate mobile services. HTC's main motive behind this collaboration is to increase its mobile phone sales in the Asian market.

According to FarEasTone, a member of the Conexus Mobile Alliance, HTC and its new partner will finalize the agreement on Friday and the members of both companies will meet the press to give a rundown on their future association. It also says this will increase the joint purchases of HTC-made smartphones by the group's members which includes Hong Kong's Hutchison Telecommunications, South Korea's KT Corp., Japan's NTT Docomo, Indonesia's PT Indosat, the Philippines' Smart and Singapore's StarHub.

After signing the agreement, HTC will become the first smartphone maker to collaborate with the alliance. It is hoped that with this consociation HTC is able to create a distinct mark in the Asian market.
